5 Weird Things People Have Requested For Their Funerals
The Man Who Wanted To Be Posed on His Motorcycle

When a 63-year-old Puerto Rican man named Angel Pantoja Medina died in 2008, he didn’t want a traditional wake. He wanted to be standing. His family embalmed him, dressed him in his favourite white suit and black sunglasses, and propped him up on his Honda motorcycle for a three-day viewing in San Juan. His brother told the press: “He wanted to be happy, standing upright on his motorcycle. He didn’t want to be lying down.” Friends took photos with the corpse. The family said he looked “peaceful.” It was the only funeral anyone had ever seen where the guest of honour was technically standing.
