6 Criminals Who Were Betrayed By Their Own Pets

The Jack Russell Terrier — The Cupboard Snitch

A 52-year-old German man was wanted by police in Euskirchen, near Cologne. When officers knocked on his door, an acquaintance answered and claimed he had no idea where the man was. But the man’s Jack Russell terrier was in the room—and the dog was excited. Officers set the dog down, and it immediately trotted over to a cupboard, stood in front of it, and wagged its tail expectantly. Police opened the cupboard—just one metre high and 80 centimetres wide—and found the fugitive “hunched up inside.” He was arrested. The dog got a walk. The owner got a police record.
